#Fumble Table (業報表)
Double 1 (total 2) + failure = Karmic Retribution. Roll d100 to determine the form of the disaster.
#When To Use
When a double 1 (both dice 1) occurs and the check fails, immediately roll d100. Apply the result in addition to the base Fumble (Defenseless).
#Karmic Retribution Table (d100)
#01~10: Weapon Break (武器破壞)
The blade breaks. The current weapon cannot be used until this battle ends. If there is no backup weapon, only bare hands (Unarmed Combat) are available. After battle, it must be repaired or replaced (artisan recommended).
#11~20: Self-Wound (自傷)
The character is cut by their own blade. 1 Wound to self. Also becomes Defenseless.
#21~30: Lost Balance (均衡喪失)
The character's foot slips. Forced movement to an adjacent zone (GM chooses the direction). If that zone contains enemies, Defense -4 continues to apply until before the character's next action.
#31~40: Morale Collapse (士氣崩壞)
Allies who saw this disgrace lose morale. All allied squads in the same zone take Cohesion -1.
#41~50: Opening Exposed (隙間露出)
A perfect opening. All enemies in the same zone gain +2 on their next first attack check against this target.
#51~60: Sight Blocked (視野遮斷)
Dirt/blood/smoke gets in the eyes. During the next round, all attacks take a -3 penalty. The character may spend 1 Energy to wipe their eyes.
#61~70: Armor Damage (甲冑損傷)
Armor cords come loose or the armor is dented. Defense -2 (until the battle ends). Can be repaired during the Lull Phase (1 Energy).
#71~80: Spreading Dismay (動搖傳播)
"The commander made a mistake!" All allied squads including adjacent zones take Cohesion -1. Enemy Domination +1 (that zone).
#81~90: Surrounded (包圍誘發)
The collapsed stance leaves the character surrounded by enemies. During this round and the next round, all attacks by enemies in the same zone hit automatically (no evasion).
#91~99: Ally Hit By Mistake (同僚誤傷)
The blade turns toward an ally. 1 Wound to 1 allied entity in the same zone (random). If there are no allies, Self-Wound (1 Wound to self).
#00(100): Divine Punishment (天罰)
Karmic Retribution erupts. 2 Wounds to self + Weapon Break + Defenseless + all allies in the same zone take Cohesion -2. There is no better gift for the enemy.
Karmic Retribution always returns. The question is when, and in what form.
