The number of schools 1 PC may hold is 1 (the core principle). But synergy is possible through squad·allied-NPC combinations, Renown Title·class-change branches, school + discipline combinations, and the like. This document gives 8 examples of such combinations.

#§ 1. "Joseon Officer Synthesis (朝鮮武官綜合)"

PC 1: Joseon Sebeop (10-05·sword) + PC 2: Joseon Horn-Bow Archery (12-02·bow) + squad NPC: Joseon Navy (16-04-02)

  • Synergy: squad-level officer operation. Stable in both mountains and at sea. Powerful in an anti-Japan campaign.
  • Additional recommendation: Joseon Mugyeong (18-01-03·Military Science) — squad morale·command.
  • Renown Title: "Joseon Military Officer" branch.

#§ 2. "Ming Orthodox Military Science (明正統軍學)"

PC 1: Qi Jiguang Spear Method (11-08·spear) + PC 2: Majia Spear (11-03·spear·precision) + squad: Qi Family Army (25-famous-squads)

  • Synergy: squad-level Qi Family Army operation. Reinforced Mandarin-Duck Formation. Suited to an anti-Wako (對倭) campaign.
  • Additional: Qi Jiguang Jixiao Xinshu (18-01-02·Military Science).
  • Renown Title: "Qi Family Army Officer."

PC 1: Destreza (10-09·rapier) + PC 2: Liechtenauer (10-07·greatsword) + PC 3: Dutch Gun Drill (12-05·gun)

  • Synergy: a Western trade company + escorts. Open-sea voyaging (16-04-04 Portuguese) is possible. A Japanese foreign-trade campaign.
  • Additional: Galleon (40-07-09) + Nanban Medicine (19-03-01).
  • Renown Title: "Nanban Trade Agent" branch.

#§ 4. "Nomadic Plains Unit (遊牧 平原 部隊)"

PC 1: Mongol Mounted Bow (12-03·bow) + PC 2: Mongol Guard Cavalry (15-02·horse) + PC 3: Cossack (15-06·horse)

  • Synergy: a plains cavalry unit. Squad-level rapid raiding. Powerful in a great-steppe campaign.
  • Additional: Genghis Guard squad (25-famous-squads).
  • Renown Title: "Warrior of the Steppe" branch.

#§ 5. "Islamic Comprehensive (Islamic Comprehensive)"

PC 1: Turkish Composite Bow (12-08·bow) + PC 2: Saracen Cavalry (15-04·horse) + PC 3: Hashashin (14-05·ninja) + discipline: Islamic Mathematics (20-05-03)

  • Synergy: an Islamic-sphere synthesis. Political assassination + regular military + scholarly cultivation.
  • Additional: Arab Medicine (19-03-04) + Kabbalah Barrier (19-04-04, classified as Jewish).
  • Renown Title: "The Sufi Path" or "The Sultan's Trust" branch.

PC 1: Jinyiwei (14-06·ninja·Ming) + PC 2: Double Agent (18-06-03·Deceit) + PC 3: Political-Style Bribery (18-04-03·Bribery)

  • Synergy: a political campaign. Usable in either Ming or the West. Operating a society.
  • Additional: Diplomatic Deception (18-06-04) + Persian Poisoncraft (19-06-02).
  • Renown Title: "The Shadow Shogunate" branch.

#§ 7. "Tea-Ceremony·Mediation Scholar (茶道·仲裁學者)"

PC 1: Jikishinkage-ryu (10-03·sword·martial art) + PC 2: Tea-Ceremony Diplomacy (18-02-01·Negotiation) + discipline: Tea-Ceremony Mastery (20-06-01)

  • Synergy: a peace·mediation campaign. Refusal to kill. Diplomatic superiority. Political influence.
  • Additional: Yagyu Shinkage-ryu (core orthodox line) + Malign-Thought Perception (17-04-04).
  • Renown Title: "Mediator of the Swordmaster" branch.

#§ 8. "Barrier·Removal Two-Sided (結界·解除兩面)"

PC 1: Onmyodo (core Sorcery) + Japanese-Style Barrier (19-04-01·Barrier) + PC 2: Sorcery Seal Removal (17-05-03·Disable)

  • Synergy: both sides of a Barrier setter + remover. Compatible with the 1st expansion's Spirit Realm campaign. Political conspiracy (Barrier theft·removal) is possible.
  • Additional: Spirit Realm Adaptation (17-02-04·Survival) + Spirit Realm Seal Removal (17-05-04·Disable).
  • Renown Title: "Heir of the Onmyoji Main House" branch.

  • Combinations observe the principle of 1 PC = 1 school. The combinations above are synergy among the PCs or combinations of Renown Title·discipline + school.
  • Squad-NPC use is reinforced when 25-famous-squads is introduced.
  • Renown Title branch use is the domain of the core's 04-05-prestige.md.
  • Disciplines (20) observe the principle of 1 PC 1 discipline.
  • The GM chooses combinations that fit their campaign's tone·theme.
