Base Energy 2+2 (preparation), Target Number 10. Fine-tunable per spell.

#§ 6 Spells

#35-04-01. Art of the Eight-Petal Lotus (八葉蓮華)

  • Type: [Kata]
  • Energy: 2+2 (preparation) / Target Number: Defense
  • Range/Target: all of 1 zone within 2 zones (enemies and companions indiscriminately)

Effect: area 1 Wounds reduction to all targets in the same zone. Flame persists (3 rounds, ignites terrain).

Failure: does not manifest.

School perk: with 19-01-02 Nanban Black Magic, Energy -1.

#35-04-02. Art of the Vajra Guard Formation (金剛護陣)

  • Type: [upkeep]
  • Energy: 2+2 (preparation) / Target Number: 10
  • Range/Target: self + 4 adjacent units

Effect: for 1 session, Defense +2 for all 5 units.

Failure: the Barrier does not manifest.

School perk: with a 19-04-* Barrier school, +1 person can be included.

#35-04-03. Art of the Butterfly Dream (胡蝶夢幻)

  • Type: [Kata]
  • Energy: 2+2 (preparation) / Target Number: enemy's Wisdom +1
  • Range/Target: 1 unit within 2 zones

Effect: for 1 combat, the target hallucinates — enemy position perception -3, next attack random (50% miss).

Failure: the hallucination is not seen.

School perk: with 19-01-05 Tibetan Esotericism, the effect lasts 1 session (outside combat).

#35-04-04. Art of the Talisman Burst (破符爆裂)

  • Type: [Kata]
  • Energy: 2+2 (preparation) / Target Number: Defense
  • Range/Target: 1 unit within 1 zone

Effect: a talisman explosion. 2 Wounds reduction to the main target and 1 Wounds reduction to 1 adjacent unit (damage spread).

Failure: the talisman does not explode.

School perk: with 19-01-02 Nanban Black Magic, damage +1.

#35-04-05. Art of the Spirit-Trace Pursuit (靈跡追影)

  • Type: [upkeep]
  • Energy: 2+2 (preparation) / Target Number: 10
  • Range/Target: 1 spiritual being within 5 zones

Effect: for 1 session, track the spiritual being's position. Position changes update automatically.

Failure: no tracking.

School perk: with 19-01-03 Joseon Daoism, 5 zones → 10 zones.

#35-04-06. Art of the Spreading Poison Mist (毒霧蔓延)

  • Type: [stance→Kata]
  • Energy: 2+2 (preparation) / Target Number: 10
  • Range/Target: 1 adjacent zone

Effect: spread a poison mist into the caster's zone or an adjacent zone. All enemies in that zone get Defense -1 + Wounds -1 each round (lasts 2 rounds). When the mist is deployed in the caster's zone, allies are also targets (excluding the caster).

Failure: the mist disperses. The slot is consumed.

School perk: with 19-01-02 Nanban Black Magic, the poison's duration +1 round (3 rounds total).
