#45-05-01. Holy Grail (Holy Grail)

[core replacement data] This entry is replacement data for the core 07-04 exotic-artifacts #1 Holy Grail (Cálice). When this expansion is used, this entry takes precedence. The core data does not coexist.

Scent: The Holy Grail of Catholic legend. The cup used at Christ's Last Supper. It grants eternal life.

Basic: tool (cup)

Effect [upkeep]: 1 time per 1 session, filling the cup with water/wine makes it a sacred drink. If 1 body drinks it, recover 4 Wounds + clear poison/curse/Spiritual Taint. If in the downed state, return at Wounds 1, and during the same combat, grant 1 use of Energy support B-2 (an extra 1 Energy from 0 count, 1 time).

  • Blessing [aptitude]: when used by a PC of Catholic Faith, add 1-stage trauma recovery.
  • Curse [aptitude]: when used by a non-faithful PC, the recovery amount is halved to 2, and the downed-state return and Energy support do not activate. On impure use, the cup is sealed for 1 session.
  • Devotion: emphasizes Catholic Faith. A core pursuit of the campaign.

#45-05-02. Saruman's Staff (Saruman's Staff, fictional)

Scent: The staff of a fictional wizard (altered). Capable of using 5-color magic. Magic + intellect + authority.

Basic: tool (staff) — linked with the 19 mystic schools + 35 spells

Effect: when using a 35 spell, Energy -1, Target Number -1.

  • Blessing [aptitude]: with a 19-01-* Sorcery school License, +1 extra (Energy -2, Target Number -2).
  • Curse [aptitude]: with accumulated use, PC sanity -1 (madness risk).
  • Devotion: magic thought. The pursuit of power is dangerous.

Approach: scenario reward. Altered name (a variant of fictional media).


#45-05-03. Gjallarhorn (Gjallarhorn)

Scent: Norse myth. The horn Heimdall blows at the start of Ragnarok. It wakes all gods and humans.

Basic: tool (horn)

Effect [Kata]: Energy 5. 1 time per 1 session. The instant the horn is blown, it wakes all people/yoma in 5 zones (nullifies sleep/hallucination/faint effects). Squad Cohesion +3 (when used in the 1st campaign, domain morale +3 / when used with the 30-03 variant, this expansion's squad morale +3 is auto-compatible — 00-05 §12); 1 combat.

  • Blessing [aptitude]: when used by a PC of Norse faith, an additional +1.
  • Curse [aptitude]: with accumulated use, Ragnarok thought is forced (a campaign apocalypse branch becomes possible).
  • Devotion: Norse faith. Apocalyptic thought.

#45-05-04. Kabbalah Amulet (Kabbalah Amulet)

Scent: A Jewish Kabbalistic mystical amulet. Hebrew letters + the name of God. A lifelong devoted work of a rabbi.

Basic: tool (talisman)

Effect [upkeep]: when used 1 time per 1 session, all PC attributes +1 (1 combat). Immune to sanity effects.

  • Blessing [aptitude]: when used by a PC of Jewish faith, effect +1 extra.
  • Curse [aptitude]: when used by a non-Jewish PC, effect halved, risk of sacrilege.
  • Devotion: Jewish faith. Kabbalistic learning recommended.

Approach: apprenticeship under a Kabbalistic rabbi. Public domain (Kabbalah itself).
