#Heroic Spirit Sample Catalog (英靈見本, Heroic Spirit Catalog) — 10 Entries

Contents

10 ancient and medieval heroic spirits who manifested in this age through the opening of the Spirit Realm gate. Each has a strong bond with a Spirit Realm Wandering Treasure or Exotic Sacred Object, and the GM can insert them directly as scenario NPCs or recruit them as allied NPCs.

Related Rules: Heroic Spirit Class · Spirit Realm Wandering Treasures · Exotic Sacred Objects · Divine Treasures

This catalog is a set of standard presets. Each heroic spirit's tradition is compressed here into one famous aspect. Real myths, legends, and histories are much more complex and contradictory.

If you want to present one of these figures in another form, do not hesitate to redesign them.

  • Guan Yu may be downgraded to masterwork-grade if you want him to debut as "a young general, not a divinity."
  • Jeanne d'Arc may be summoned as "a maiden still alive," not as "a heroic spirit after execution."

Jeanne d'Arc, canonized saint in white plate, raising a sword like a standard, blank cross/rosary, abstract halo-void; face blank

  • Genghis Khan may be reinterpreted as "a shaman of the great steppe," not as "the conqueror."

Heroic spirits are beings players often know only by name, so the GM's interpretation is correct inside that scenario. The dan ranks, sacred objects, and scenario hooks in this catalog are references, not mandates.

#Rank Assignment Principles

Heroic spirits are usually "complete beings," so they are placed at high dan.

DanHeroic Spirit TypeExamples
5~6 Danmid-tier heroic spirit (secondary legend, or pre-prime form)Benkei, Rostam

Rostam on his steed Rakhsh, curved shamshir lowered, Persian lamellar, mane streaming; faces blank, halo-void white | 7~8 Dan | high-tier heroic spirit (form that completed the representative deeds of the legend) | Sun Wukong, Jiang Taigong, Jeanne d'Arc, Achilles | | 9~10 Dan | lord-grade heroic spirit (peak of the greatest legend in a cultural sphere) | Guan Yu, Arjuna, Genghis Khan, Yi Sun-sin |

Arjuna at full draw with the divine bow Gandiva, Vedic warrior garb, divine radiance behind, calm conflict; face/hands blank

The entries below follow that order. Each entry includes cultural sphere, sacred object, scenario hooks, and redesign room.

#1. Musashibo Benkei (武蔵坊弁慶) — 6th Dan

Musashibo Benkei, Heian warrior-monk; the seven-tool warrior — naginata plus axe, sickle, saw, hook strapped across his back as a bristling silhouette; broad immovable stance; face/hands blank

#Cultural Sphere · Age

Japan, late Heian period. Yoshitsune's retainer and bodyguard monk. Famous for the legend of challenging travelers for the thousandth sword at Kyobashi (京橋).

#Main Tool · Sacred Object

  • Seven Tools (七つ道具) — a warrior monk carrying seven weapons on his back: naginata, axe, sickle, saw, hook, raft harpoon, and iron staff.
  • Divine Treasure linkage: when Yoshitsune's Usumidori manifests, Benkei can be summoned with it like an attached heroic spirit because of their legendary bond. The naginata itself is masterwork-grade.

#Dan Assignment — 6th Dan (Elite-Grade Heroic Spirit)

Benkei is a heroic spirit specialized as a guardian who protects Yoshitsune. Alone, he does not match Yoshitsune, but when Yoshitsune is present, he activates a squad-leader-grade buff.

#Concise Stats

Benkei — Heroic Spirit 6th Dan (Elite-grade)
Wounds 7(3+Physique 3+Robust 1), Defense 14(warrior monk heavy armor), Energy 12
Courage +3, Finesse +1, Physique +3, Wisdom +0, Presence +0, Fate +0 | Heart: Loyalty (Way of Rites)
Weapon: naginata(masterwork) + six auxiliary weapons(carried)
Traits: Standing Death Stance(stance, maintain Defense +2), Seven Tools(aptitude, can switch to a different weapon each round)

#Scenario Hooks

  1. Summoned with Yoshitsune — Automatically accompanies Yoshitsune in a scenario where Yoshitsune manifests as a heroic spirit. Handles bodyguard duty.
  2. Drifting Alone — Because of an error in the Spirit Realm, only Benkei manifests first. He wanders the realm searching for Yoshitsune. The PC party gains Benkei as a companion.
  3. Appears as an Enemy — In a scenario where Yoshitsune is captured and controlled by the Hannyakai, Benkei attacks the PCs by "his lord's command."

#Redesign Room

Alternate expression: "Benkei resummoned as an ordinary old monk after setting aside the Seven Tools" (downgrade 7th Dan → 3rd Dan, hidden combat ability). Or a villain version as "the young heretical Benkei, still a corrupted warrior monk."

#2. Rostam (Rostam, رستم) — 6th Dan

#Cultural Sphere · Age

Medieval Persia. Protagonist of the Shahnameh (Book of Kings). A hero who fought dragons, demons, and giant beasts. Known for the tragic confrontation with his son Sohrab.

#Main Tool · Sacred Object

  • [Masterwork] Scimitar (Shamshir) — a curved blade. Cuts off a head in one blow.
  • Rakhsh — his legendary horse. Carries only its master. Can manifest with him when the heroic spirit is summoned.

#Dan Assignment — 6th Dan (Elite-Grade Heroic Spirit)

#Concise Stats

  1. The Desert Giant — Rostam is summoned to slay a special "desert-born" great oni. With his help, the great oni can be destroyed.
  2. A Father's Tragedy — Rostam mistakes a young person of this age for his lost son. The PCs must mediate.
  3. Rakhsh Stolen — Rostam's horse is captured by the Hannyakai. Rostam asks the PCs to rescue it.

#Redesign Room

Alternate expression: Rostam can be summoned as an old man and used as a wise NPC. Or he can be a proud young Rostam, a rival who clashes with the PCs.

#3. Sun Wukong (孫悟空) — 7th Dan

Sun Wukong mid-leap on a somersault cloud, plain size-shifting staff extended, coiled mischief; monkey features in line only

  • Somersault Cloud (筋斗雲) — a cloud. Enables aerial movement.
  • [Understanding Required]: master-level understanding of Chinese mythic culture (one of Bearing or Stratagem) or the [Exotic Adaptation: Journey West] trait.

#Dan Assignment — 7th Dan (Upper Elite-Grade)

Summoned at the point just after the Heavenly Palace Uproar, not at the peak of the legend. Sun Wukong has only recently been released from Five Elements Mountain.

#Concise Stats

Sun Wukong — Heroic Spirit 7th Dan (upper Elite-grade)
Wounds 8(3+Physique 3+Robust 2), Defense 15(Vajra Invulnerability), Energy 14(10+Finesse 3+speed +1)

Weapon: [Divine Treasure] Ruyi Jingu Bang (free range adjustment, 2 Wounds)
Traits: Somersault Cloud(aptitude, Outside Zone movement 0 Energy), 72 Transformations(5th-dan Kata, temporary aptitude copy for 1 round), Vajra Invulnerability(8th-dan aptitude, reduction invalid)

#Scenario Hooks

  1. Trickster Ally — Sun Wukong appears before the daimyo of Kagura Domain and says he will help because it looks fun. The PCs must control him.
  2. King of Flower-Fruit Mountain — A yoma group calls itself the "Monkey King." Sun Wukong joins the PCs to destroy the imitator.
  3. Appears as an Enemy — The Hannyakai sends Jindou'er (金斗兒), a counterfeit of the Ruyi staff, against Sun Wukong and mentally controls him. The PCs must find the true Ruyi staff and break the control.

#Redesign Room

Alternate expression: Sun Wukong can be raised to a 10th-Dan lord-grade figure as "Victorious Fighting Buddha (鬪戰勝佛)" after enlightenment, or used in the opposite direction as a weakened form "summoned while still sealed under Five Elements Mountain" (4th-Dan lesser form).

#4. Jiang Taigong (姜太公, 姜子牙) — 8th Dan

Jiang Ziya, serene old sage by water, a furled banner and Taoist talisman bundle (blank) at his side; commands without a blade

#Cultural Sphere · Age

Early Zhou dynasty China. Protagonist of Investiture of the Gods (封神演義). The legendary strategist selected by King Wen of Zhou at age 80. The one who enfeoffs the gods.

#Main Tool · Sacred Object

  • [Divine Treasure] Apricot-Yellow Banner (杏黃旗) — Jiang Ziya's banner. Has the Authority to seal battlefield yoma.
  • [Understanding Required]: master-level understanding of Chinese mythic culture (one of Bearing or Stratagem).

#Dan Assignment — 8th Dan (Upper Elite-Grade, Command Type)

The peak of command and spellcraft, not combat ability. He does not use a sword with his own hand.

#Concise Stats

Jiang Taigong — Heroic Spirit 8th Dan (upper Elite-grade, command)
Wounds 5(3+Physique 1+Robust 1), Defense 12(daoist robe), Energy 12(10+Wisdom efficiency)
Courage +0, Finesse +0, Physique +1, Wisdom +5, Presence +3, Fate +1 | Heart: Truth (Way of Mystery)

Traits: Investiture Spell(form, 5 Energy, seal 1 yoma for 1 round), Astronomy(aptitude, battlefield detection), Strategist(aptitude, squad command 0 Energy([Kata]))

#Scenario Hooks

  1. The One Who Seals Gods — A Hannyakai tatarigami claims divinity. Jiang Taigong manifests to seal that tatarigami. The PCs assist the sealing rite.
  2. Heir to King Wen — Jiang Taigong says he is "looking for the King Wen of this age" and takes interest in a specific daimyo or Living God. The PCs become mediators.
  3. Grand Strategist Duel — Scholar Sosui faces Kenpaku, a Hannyakai Yorijin (yoma anatomist scholar) who claims to descend from Jiang Taigong. Jiang Taigong manifests on Sosui's side.

#Redesign Room

Alternate expression: "Jiang Taigong who only looks like an old man fishing." He does not move at all during combat, but reduces enemy control just by existing on the count.

#5. Jeanne d'Arc (Jeanne d'Arc, 聖女) — 8th Dan

#Cultural Sphere · Age

15th-century France. Late Hundred Years' War. Maid of Orleans. Canonized as a Catholic saint.

#Main Tool · Sacred Object

  • [Divine Treasure] Holy Cross + [Divine Treasure] Rosary (holding 2 is allowed as a heroic-spirit exception).
  • [Masterwork] Rapiere or medieval sword: the sword actually wielded beneath her banner.
  • [Understanding Required]: automatic for outsiders; otherwise [Exotic Adaptation: Kirishitan] or related trait.

#Dan Assignment — 8th Dan (Upper Elite-Grade)

This changes depending on whether she manifests before or after her execution. This catalog uses the point immediately after execution and canonization as a saint.

#Concise Stats

Jeanne d'Arc — Heroic Spirit 8th Dan (upper Elite-grade)
Wounds 6(3+Physique 2+Robust 1), Defense 14(white armor), Energy 12(10+Finesse 2)
Courage +3, Finesse +2, Physique +2, Wisdom +1, Presence +3, Fate +1 | Heart: Faith (Kirishitan — Lord's Way)
Weapon: medieval sword + [Divine Treasure] Holy Cross + [Divine Treasure] Rosary
Traits: Saint's Voice(aptitude, allied Cohesion +2 constant), Fire of Faith(form, yoma in zone -3 Defense)

#Scenario Hooks

  1. Miracle of the Saint — When a Kirishitan village is surrounded by yoma, Jeanne d'Arc manifests to save it. The PCs join the village defense.
  2. Judgment of Heresy — Existing Japanese Buddhist and Shinto forces treat Jeanne d'Arc as a heretic. She clashes with Pure Land Monk Renge or Living God Miko. The PCs mediate.
  3. Meeting of Heroic Spirits — Jeanne d'Arc and Karna are summoned to the same battlefield. What happens when "martyr" and "hero" from two different cultures share a battlefield?

#Redesign Room

Alternate expression: A scenario where the PCs rescue "Jeanne d'Arc before the burning, still imprisoned." Stats are the same, but add restrictions. Or a tragic version of "Jeanne d'Arc who knows she does not belong in this age and tries to vanish."

#6. Achilles (Ἀχιλλεύς) — 8th Dan

Achilles in bronze greaves and crested helm, bronze spear and round shield (blank), one heel subtly emphasized

#Cultural Sphere · Age

Ancient Greece. Central figure of the Trojan War in the Iliad. Son of Thetis, sea goddess. His whole body is immortal except the heel.

#Main Tool · Sacred Object

  • Bronze spear and shield — mythical arms forged by Hephaestus. In this catalog, they are a new design (redesign room).
  • Armor of immortality: infinite Defense across the whole body except the heel. But a hit to the heel can kill instantly.

#Dan Assignment — 8th Dan (Upper Elite-Grade, Special Weakness)

#Concise Stats

Achilles — Heroic Spirit 8th Dan (upper Elite-grade, special type)
Wounds 9(3+Physique 3+Robust 3), Defense 17(armor of immortality) / 10 (instant-death special on heel hit)
Energy 13(10+Finesse 3), Courage +5, Finesse +3, Physique +3, Wisdom +0, Presence +1, Fate +0 | Heart: Hegemony (Way of Rites variant — honor obsession)
Weapon: bronze spear + bronze shield (GM redesign room)
Traits: Immortality(aptitude, Wound reduction invalid except heel weakness), Rage of Wrath(5th-dan Kata, one breath +3)

Special Rule: The heel can be hit only by a separate attack at check -5 (infiltration ambush required). On a successful hit, instant death.

#Scenario Hooks

  1. Return of Patroclus — Achilles manifests in this age searching for "the one who killed my friend." It is actually one Shurado of the Hannyakai. If the PCs find and deliver that Shurado, his rage settles.
  2. Duel of Honor — Achilles points to a warrior among the PCs, especially a samurai, and declares single combat. If the duel is accepted, all observers gain fear immunity.
  3. Secret of the Weakness — Kenpaku, the Hannyakai yoma anatomist (Yorijin), analyzes Achilles' spirit-body structure and discovers the weakness (heel), then leaks it to shinobi. The PCs must protect Achilles.
  • There is no corresponding exotic sacred object in this age's Japan → GM redesign required. Create a completely new Greek Bronze Age armament.

#Redesign Room

Alternate expression: Redesign Achilles with a berserker negative Heart (Fiend). Or use a weakened version as "young Achilles before the Trojan War." Or a complete reinterpretation focused on infiltration: "Achilles among Lycomedes' daughters, dressed as a woman."

#7. Arjuna (Arjuna, अर्जुन) — 9th Dan

#Cultural Sphere · Age

Ancient India. Protagonist of the Mahabharata. Third of the 5 Pandava brothers. Son of Indra. The one who defeated Karna at Kurukshetra.

#Main Tool · Sacred Object

  • [Divine Treasure] Gandiva (Gāṇḍīva) — bow made by Brahma. Infinite shooting.
  • [Divine Treasure] Brahmastra — ultimate weapon. World-destruction grade.
  • [Understanding Required]: master-level understanding of Tenjiku culture (one of Exorcism or Sorcery).

#Dan Assignment — 9th Dan (Lord-Grade Heroic Spirit)

Karna's rival and victor. Equal or higher dan.

#Concise Stats

Arjuna — Heroic Spirit 9th Dan (lord-grade)
Wounds 6(3+Physique 2+Robust 1), Defense 14(Indra's protection), Energy 14(10+Finesse 3+faith)
Courage +4, Finesse +4, Physique +2, Wisdom +2, Presence +2, Fate +2 | Heart: Loyalty↔Void (loyalty to his brothers, war's emptiness)
Weapon: [Divine Treasure] Gandiva + [Divine Treasure] Brahmastra (reserve)
Traits: Clear Wisdom(5th-dan aptitude, reroll on check failure), Indra Descends(7th-dan Kata), Agony of War(9th-dan aptitude, all-Heart resonance)

#Scenario Hooks

  1. Rematch with Karna — Karna and Arjuna on the same battlefield. When the two heroic spirits meet, the flow of battle stops. Which side will the PCs help?
  2. Absence of Krishna — Arjuna is searching for his charioteer Krishna (god). He suspects that Miko, the Living God of this age, may be Krishna's manifestation.
  3. Seal of the Brahmastra — The Hannyakai tries to steal and use the Brahmastra. The PCs are asked to recover it.

#Redesign Room

Alternate expression: Summon Arjuna in the form of Brihannala, who lived for 1 year dressed as a woman: a completely different identity. Or introduce Arjuna trapped in conflict just before Kurukshetra (before Krishna's Bhagavad Gita teaching), unable to fight, and requiring the PCs to persuade him.

#8. Guan Yu (關羽, 關公, 關帝) — 10th Dan

Guan Yu, deified, long-bearded, Green Dragon glaive (blank blade), war-robe, godlike halo-void, Red Hare suggested behind

#Cultural Sphere · Age

Late Later Han to Three Kingdoms. Liu Bei's sworn brother. A divinity of righteousness and loyalty. After death, deified as Guandi (關帝) and Guansheng Dijun (關聖帝君).

#Main Tool · Sacred Object

  • [Divine Treasure] Green Dragon Crescent Blade — Guan Yu's symbol. Overwhelming power against yoma.
  • Red Hare (赤兔馬) — divine beast. Manifests together with the heroic spirit.
  • [Understanding Required]: Military Science Master or [Exotic Adaptation: Ming Confucianism].

#Dan Assignment — 10th Dan (Top Lord-Grade — Divinity)

In Ming China during this age, he is already at the peak of divinity. Fully lord-grade.

#Concise Stats

Guan Yu — Heroic Spirit Tatsujin 10th Dan (lord-grade divinity)
Wounds 10(3+Physique 4+Robust 3), Defense 16(Guandi armor), Energy 15(10+Finesse 4+loyalty efficiency)
Courage +5, Finesse +4, Physique +4, Wisdom +2, Presence +3, Fate +1 | Heart: Loyalty (Way of Rites complete)
Weapon: [Divine Treasure] Green Dragon Crescent Blade + Red Hare (mount)
Traits: Oath of Sworn Brothers(aptitude, checks +3 when protecting allied lord-grade unit), Peerless Under Heaven(10th-dan aptitude, hit automatically deals 2 Wounds), Guandi's Gaze(all battlefield units fear resistance +3)
Renown Title: Guansheng Dijun — Guan Yu himself is a divine Renown Title (fixed)

#Scenario Hooks

  1. Return of the Sworn Brother — Guan Yu says he has seen Liu Bei in someone of this age and volunteers to guard them. The target may be one PC, or an enemy daimyo.
  2. Spread of Guandi Faith — Alongside Kirishitan and Buddhist currents, Ming Guandi faith is just entering Japan. Guan Yu tries to become its spreader himself. The PCs mediate.
  3. Decisive Single Combat — Guan Yu duels a Hannyakai High Seat, such as Shurado Shuten. The PCs watch or assist. Guan Yu may lose if his divinity is weaker in this age's Japan.

#Redesign Room

Alternate expression: Summon Guan Yu in his young general days before the campaign against Lu Bu → downgrade to 7th Dan. Before deification, he has only a masterwork-grade Green Dragon Crescent Blade, not a Divine Treasure. Or summon only the remains before posthumous deification, a half-heroic-spirit state.

#9. Genghis Khan (Чингис хаан, 成吉思汗) — 10th Dan

Genghis Khan in leather-and-iron-scale armor, composite bow at rest, hunting falcon on the forearm, vast empty steppe

#Cultural Sphere · Age

13th-century Mongolia. Unifier of the great steppe. World conqueror. From this age, the late 16th century, a hero from 300 years in the past.

#Main Tool · Sacred Object

  • [Masterwork] Manchurian Falcon Feather — feather of Genghis Khan's hunting falcon. When his heroic spirit is summoned, the falcon manifests with him.
  • Composite bow — traditional Mongol bow. Redesign as masterwork-grade.
  • Banner of the Yeke Mongol Ulus — GM redesign room.

#Dan Assignment — 10th Dan (Top Lord-Grade — Conqueror)

#Concise Stats

Genghis Khan — Heroic Spirit Tatsujin 10th Dan (lord-grade command)
Wounds 8(3+Physique 3+Robust 2), Defense 14(leather+iron plates), Energy 15(10+Finesse 3+Wisdom efficiency)
Courage +4, Finesse +3, Physique +3, Wisdom +5, Presence +3, Fate +1 | Heart: Hegemony (Way of Rites variant — absolute monarch)
Weapon: composite bow + mounted scimitar + [Masterwork] falcon feather (hunting falcon)
Traits: Command of the Great Steppe(aptitude, squad command 0 Energy([Kata]), special cap 3 times per round), Long-Range Riding(aptitude, move to any battlefield zone for 1 Energy)
Renown Title: Yeke Khan — everyone on the battlefield shares his Cohesion (all allied squads Cohesion +2)

#Scenario Hooks

  1. Eyes of the World Conqueror — Genghis Khan is observing the Japanese archipelago. He offers patronage to a daimyo. If accepted, that daimyo grows rapidly stronger, but becomes Genghis Khan's puppet.
  2. Mongol Cavalry Reenacted — The Hannyakai partially summons Genghis Khan's spirit and commands it as a cavalry squad. The PCs must fully summon the original heroic spirit to release it.
  3. Proposal of the Great Steppe — Genghis Khan asks the PCs, "Shall I end your Sengoku age?" If they accept, Japan is unified by his hand. An ethical choice.

#Redesign Room

Alternate expression: Young Genghis Khan as Temujin, before Mongol unification, at 5~6 Dan. Or an aged conqueror in his final years, an old man who has lost everything and forgotten even his own name.

#10. Yi Sun-sin (李舜臣) — 10th Dan

Yi Sun-sin in scaled armor with a hwando, hand on a turtle-ship scale relic (blank), a low turtle-ship silhouette on water

#Cultural Sphere · Age

Late 16th-century Joseon. Joseon naval admiral of the Imjin War (1592~1598). Used turtle ships to defeat the Japanese navy several times.

⚠ Temporal Contradiction: Yi Sun-sin is still alive in this game's age, the late 16th century, or will soon appear in this age. To summon him as a heroic spirit, apply the Spirit Realm Wandering Treasure rule: "in the time-warping Spirit Realm, his future self manifests in the present."

#Main Tool · Sacred Object

  • [Masterwork, Spirit Realm Wandering Treasure] Turtle Ship Scale — turtle-shell plating found with a letter that Ryu Seong-ryong sent to Yi Sun-sin during the Imjin War.
  • [Masterwork, Spirit Realm Wandering Treasure] One Volume of Dongui Bogam — a medical text Heo Jun will write later. Yi Sun-sin should not possess it, but it is a Spirit Realm phenomenon.
  • Hwando — Joseon curved sword. A weapon Yi Sun-sin himself carried.

#Dan Assignment — 10th Dan (Top Lord-Grade — Admiral)

#Concise Stats

Yi Sun-sin — Heroic Spirit Tatsujin 10th Dan (lord-grade, naval specialization)
Wounds 7(3+Physique 3+Robust 1), Defense 14(Joseon armor), Energy 14(10+Finesse 3+Wisdom efficiency)
Courage +3, Finesse +3, Physique +3, Wisdom +5, Presence +2, Fate +1 | Heart: Loyalty (Way of Rites complete — loyalty to the nation)
Weapon: hwando + [Spirit Realm Wandering Treasure] Turtle Ship Scale + [Spirit Realm Wandering Treasure] Dongui Bogam
Traits: Naval Command(aptitude, sea-zone squad command 0 Energy([Kata])), Read the Situation(aptitude, battlefield insight — predict enemy action 1 round ahead), Turtle Ship Operation(5th-dan Kata, summon in sea zone)
Renown Title: Chungmugong — all subordinates immune to Cohesion -1, regroup even after defeat

#Scenario Hooks

  1. Prophecy of the Imjin War — Yi Sun-sin manifests before a Japanese daimyo and warns, "Your invasion will fail." A branching point in history.
  2. Blueprints of the Turtle Ship — Yi Sun-sin asks the PCs whether he should pass turtle ship technology to Japan. The choice changes the naval-war structure of the later campaign.
  3. Appears as an Enemy Admiral — The Hannyakai captures and puppetizes Yi Sun-sin. The PCs must awaken the true Yi Sun-sin. A duel with Masamune would be dramatic.

#Redesign Room

Alternate expression: Yi Sun-sin can also appear as an enemy. "If the Spirit Realm tells him that his life is destined to be ruined by Japan, he might preemptively attack this age's Japan." Or use young Yi Sun-sin, before he became a warrior: downgrade to 4~5 Dan, a wanderer displaced in time.

To emphasize again: these 10 figures are only representative presets. Your scenario needs your interpretation.

  • Age variation: move the point to youth, old age, time of conflict, pre-awakening, and so on.
  • Dan adjustment: summon in a weak state so PCs guard them, or summon in a strong state as an overwhelming enemy.
  • Heart reassignment: make loyal Guan Yu into a void-touched Guan Yu; make merciful Jeanne d'Arc into fanatical Jeanne d'Arc.
  • Sacred-object redesign: if the sacred object in this catalog is inappropriate, the GM may freely invent a replacement item or new sacred object.
  • Interaction design: summoning two heroic spirits to the same battlefield and creating a new relationship is also good.

A heroic spirit is material with the weight of a name, not a fixed character. How that name comes alive in your scenario is your judgment.

Ten names. Ten traditions. But on your battlefield, they begin again as your story.
