#Scent — Lesser Yoma and Rabble

Lesser yoma drawn by the smell of blood, routed soldiers who have lost the will to fight, peasants stumbling in fear. They have no real fighting power. One swing of a blade scatters them; one kick sends them rolling. But when enough of them gather, they block roads, drag at ankles, and turn the battlefield into confusion.

  • Instant death on attack declaration: No hit check is required. Declare "I cut down the lesser yoma," spend only that attack, and remove them immediately.
  • Weapon Energy cost: The attack Energy cost is still spent as normal (katana 2 Energy, tanto 1 Energy, and so on).
  • Domination contribution only: Their deaths do not affect the battle, but in large numbers they contribute to zone Domination.
  • Swarm attack of threat-type Mobs (optional): Mobs with a biting mouth, a striking hand, or a lunging form (a biting zombie, a clawing beast, a striking underling, a cold-handed wraith, and the like) may have a simple attack. (On command, or automatically 1 time at round end) 2d10 >= Defense (a Mob has no stats and adds no attribute) — 1 Wound (physical) or 1 Cohesion (fear or morale type). It fires by a commander's squad order; with no command, it triggers automatically 1 time at round end as the pressure of their swarming numbers. Instant death on attack declaration and Domination contribution still apply. Purely environmental or decorative Mobs (fog, rumor, and other non-physical presences) have no attack.
