#Scent — Named Figures on the Battlefield
An oni warrior. A tengu sorcerer. A ranking captain serving an enemy daimyo. These are not rank-and-file troops. They have names, skill, and the ability to judge and act on their own. They are major foes for the players, and defeating one requires the whole team's cooperation.

- Independent Energy: The Elite participates in initiative order and may freely spend Energy on its own count.
- Can command squads: It can issue squad orders to allied Minions/Veterans.
- Has ability scores: It has a simplified ability-score set (at minimum Courage/Finesse/Physique).
- Special abilities: 1~2 unique abilities per individual (set by the GM).
Example — Oni Warrior:
Wounds 4, Defense 14, Energy 10. Courage+3, Finesse+0, Physique+2. Oni kanabo (3 Energy, 3 Wounds on a Critical Hit). Special: "Oni's Roar" — during the Lull Phase, adjacent-zone squad Cohesion -1.
