#§ How to Use

#When to Use

  • Before the session (3 minutes): Check last week's status. Note key variables for this week.
  • During the session (as needed): Enter immediately when morale or Fear changes, a squad takes damage, or a facility status changes.
  • After the session (5 minutes): Summarize the full status for this week. Note predictions for next week.

#How to Use

  1. Place 6 sections (morale, Fear, squads, facilities, upgrades, NPCs) on one A3 sheet.
  2. Place the morale and Fear gauges (0–10 tokens) in the top center.
  3. Place 2 squad slots + 10 facility spaces on the left.
  4. Place upgrade progress + NPC status on the right.
  5. Place the monthly event calendar at the bottom.

#Who Uses It

  • Primary user: GM; optional disclosure to players.
  • Recommended to place at the center of the table so players can view it together.

#Before the Session (3 Minutes)

1. Review full sheet from last week
2. Predict basic morale and Fear changes for this week
  - If expedition planned: success +1, failure -1
  - If Barrier crisis expected: Fear +1
3. Confirm upgrade progress update
4. Check active NPCs (expedition/mission)
5. Check scheduled event calendar

#During the Session (Real Time)

Morale changes:
 Expedition success → Morale +1 immediately
 Expedition failure → Morale -1 immediately
 Civilian death → Morale -1 immediately
 Lord's great speech → Morale +1 to +2 immediately

Fear changes:

#§ Strategic Use Tips

#Tip 1 — Morale & Fear Balance

Ideal range:
 Morale 6–8, Fear 2–4: stable
 Morale 5 or below: reduced expedition participation, difficulty forming squads
 Fear 6 or above: mass panic, facility operation degraded

Adjustment methods:
 When morale drops: lord's speech · festival · high-purity core display · Barrier reinforcement staging
 When Fear rises: shrine group prayer · lord's encouragement · victory staging

#Tip 2 — Managing 2 Squad Slots

Typical allocation:
 Squad A = Expedition party (PC-centered, 4–6 members)
 Squad B = Guard unit (NPC-centered, 4–6 members, Defense)

Special situations:
 Barrier crisis: both Squad A and B on Defense, expeditions suspended
 Large-scale expedition: combine Squad A and B for expedition (domain Defenseless, risk)
 2-front simultaneous response: Squad A expedition + Squad B responds to internal domain threat

#Tip 3 — Facility Chain Effects

Cascade from facility breakdown:
 Smithy broken → weapons cannot be repaired → squad combat power reduced
 Shrine broken → Barrier maintenance check -3 → Barrier HP loss accelerates
 Well polluted → domain morale -1/week → Fear rises
 Gate damaged → night watch reinforcement required → troop burden +1

Priority repair order:
 1. Gate (direct external threat)
 2. Shrine (directly tied to Barrier)
 3. Smithy (squad reinforcement)
 4. Well (long-term morale)

#Tip 4 — NPC Rotation

Weekly spotlight NPCs:
 Select 1–3 and enter detailed activity in this week's memo
 Keep remaining NPCs at "normal"

Rotation principles:
 - NPCs who have not appeared for 4+ weeks must appear
 - NPCs in a romance must appear at minimum every other week
 - NPCs involved in major events may appear 2 consecutive weeks

#§ Sheet Management Tips

#Multiple Sheets vs Single Sheet

Single sheet (recommended, default):
 All sections integrated on one A3 sheet
 Advantage: grasp at a glance, cross-reference easy
 Disadvantage: space limited

Multiple sheets (for detailed operation):
 Main dashboard + squad detail + facility detail + NPC log — 4 sheets
 Advantage: detailed records
 Disadvantage: cumbersome cross-referencing

#Digital vs Analog

Digital (Google Sheets · Notion · Obsidian):
 Advantage: easy to edit, history preserved, easy to share
 Disadvantage: switching screens during session is cumbersome

Analog (paper + pen):
 Advantage: fast entry during session, easy for players to view together
 Disadvantage: edits cumbersome, storage and relocation cumbersome

Recommendation: analog during session, digital backup after session

#Sheet Update Frequency

Every session (required):
 Morale and Fear gauges, squad status, NPC status

Every week (recommended):
 Facility detail, upgrade progress, event calendar

Every arc (recommended):
 Full review of NPC log
 Squad roster review

Every campaign (1 time):

#Tone Guide

  • The sheet is the domain's electrocardiogram. Each section is an organ. Stop one organ and the others begin to falter.
  • One line of notes beside the number. One line reading "lord's speech" next to Morale 7 becomes a record.
  • Empty space is also information. 4 weeks of upgrades with nothing means "this domain has no growth right now."
