The core's Disguise skill has no school at all. This expansion establishes 4 kinds. The core Licensed Mask Change / secret art Seamless Garment is replaced by new maneuvers.
§ Check Procedure: Disguise/disguise = an application of the core 04-01 Disguise (2d10+Presence vs Perception). disguise = a synonym of Disguise — no new check is established in this expansion. Effects on a 1-session basis apply 00-05 §13 non-combat action. Mapping: 00-05 §14.

#16-06-01. Actor-Style Disguise (俳優式變裝) — Famous School · Japan/China/West
The tradition of stage actors such as kabuki, Peking opera, and Shakespearean theater. An integration of makeup, vocalization, and posture. Disguise for demonstration to a crowd.
- Bonus: stage makeup — Bearing/acting check +1, +2 when disguising before an audience.
- Restriction: at close distance (within 1 zone), risk of discovery on close inspection +1.
- Licensed: [Kata] Stage Makeup: Energy 2. disguise 1 session. Bearing +2, suspicion -3 before an audience.
- Secret art: [Kata] Thousand Masks: Energy 4. 1 session. complete imitation of one figure (appearance, vocalization, posture). automatic success in 1 vs 1 conversation (3 rounds).
- Approach: tutelage by a kabuki, Peking opera, or Western theater troupe. Play type: stage makeup, Bearing.
#16-06-02. Agent-Style Disguise (諜者式變裝) — Secret Transmission · political society
The secret disguise of political-intelligence societies. An integration of clothing, status, and language. For the exclusive use of infiltration into daily life, not the stage.
- Bonus: daily-life infiltration — disguise check +3 in crowds/markets/streets, discovery -2 for 1 session.
- Restriction: no bonus for stage/theater.
- Licensed: [aptitude] Agent Disguise: on everyday streets, disguise +3, identity suspicion -2.
- Secret art: [non-combat action] Status Infiltration: Energy 5. 1 session. complete infiltration into one social class (merchant, official, commoner, warrior, etc.). natural interaction with NPCs of that class is possible. (00-05 §13 non-combat action applies)
- Approach: tutelage by a political society — the Ming Embroidered Uniform Guard (14-06), Western intelligence societies, etc.
- Play type: political intelligence, status disguise.
#16-06-03. Family-Impersonation Style (家門僞裝式) — Self-Taught Style · origin irrelevant
A disguise that impersonates a particular family or figure. No dojo. A Self-Taught Style for a single target. Study of the family's crest, seal, and etiquette is essential.
- Bonus: family mimicry — disguise +5 limited to a previously studied family (study required).
- Restriction: an unstudied family -2. 1 session of study + materials needed per family.
- Licensed: [aptitude] Family Study: per 1 family studied, +3 disguise for that family.
- Secret art: [non-combat action] Family Impersonation: Energy 5. 1 session. completely impersonate 1 figure of a studied family. can infiltrate the interior of that family. (00-05 §13 non-combat action applies)
- Approach: Self-Taught Style. family-material gathering + at least 5 sessions of study needed.
- Play type: family fraud, political intrigue.
#16-06-04. Vagabond-Style Disguise (流浪民式變裝) — Foreign Style · universal
Cultural origin: the natural disguise of those without a fixed place — Gypsies, wandering jesters, drifting warriors, and the like. Moving each time under a different status. Evading the suspicion of settled society.
- Bonus: drifter's naturalness — on arrival at a new city/village, automatic disguise effect +1 (in that locale, an outsider is ordinary).
- Restriction: adaptation to settled society (family, office) -2.
- Licensed: [aptitude] Vagabond Status: on arrival in a new region, disguise check +2, identity suspicion -1.
- Secret art: [Kata] Thousand Statuses: Energy 4. 1 session. instantly disguise as 1 choice among 5 kinds of status (merchant, jester, traveler, monk, commoner).
- Approach: foreign Adaptation (free — any culture) or a drifter-origin background.
- Play type: drifter, free movement.
