#Dice-System Correction (d10 Stability Correction)

Contents

module-toggle: keep the core 2d10 check, and add a d10 stability-correction table only in simulation-type campaigns.

#Identity

Keep the skeleton of the core 2d10 check, but in campaigns where low results break the flow too often, add a sense of stability with a d10 range-correction table. It is not a module that changes the check formula itself, but a module that adds a correction value only to the chosen checks.

#§ Variant — d10 Stability Correction

#Procedure

  1. Make a 2d10 check as in the core.
  2. If it is a stability-correction target set in the campaign, roll 1 d10.
  3. Add the correction value from the table below to the check total.

Average correction: +2.3. It does not delete extreme values, and gently corrects low check results.

#Effect

  • Average value around +2 — the PC feels they received a +2 bonus.
  • Preservation of extreme values — the feel of doubles · Critical Hits · failures is the same as the core.
  • Emphasis on simulation — "skill and preparation gently correct luck."

  • grimdark (PC reinforcement weakens the threat)
  • duel-centered (reduced extreme values weaken the decisive blow)

#§ Transition Guide

  • Core → d10 Stability Correction: at Session 0, set the range of checks subject to correction. Recommended targets are checks where failure easily blocks a scene, such as long-term research, pursuit, repair, navigation, and large-scale tactics.
  • d10 Stability Correction → Core: stop only the use of the correction table. Do not adjust PC abilities · skills · Target Number.

#Additional Variants

  • Conservative stability: d10 1-3 is +0, 4-7 is +1, 8-10 is +2.
  • Strong stability: d10 1 is +0, 2-4 is +2, 5-8 is +3, 9-10 is +4.
