#Feng Shui Master (風水師)

Terrain manipulator. Turns the battlefield itself into a weapon.

#Scent — Reader of the Earth's Qi

Feng shui masters see the battlefield like a go board. The flow of mountain ranges, the direction of rivers, the places where qi (氣) gathers — they read and direct all of it. If samurai see one person's blade and onmyoji see the motion of the stars, feng shui masters see the earth itself. If enemies stand on favorable ground, they change that ground and create positions favorable to allies.

If other classes control the units on the battlefield, feng shui masters control the battlefield itself. They reduce Domination limits to neutralize large enemy forces, raise barricades to block routes, and activate spirit veins to bless allies. When one feng shui master gestures once, a river ten ri away changes course, and trees on a mountainside fall to block the enemy advance route. This is not magic. They only make what was already flowing that way happen one breath faster. That is the feng shui master's true terror.

Outside combat, the feng shui master is the finest architect and terrain analyst. The best place to build a castle, the best route for an advance, the best campsite — all are decided through the feng shui master's eye. Every famous castle (名城) of Kagura Domain has passed through a feng shui master's hands. A daimyo may delay departure because of one sentence: "the qi of this land is poor." A city may be built because of one sentence: "build a castle here and it will last a hundred years." The weight of a feng shui master's words is heavier than a page of military law.

But the feng shui master's deepest conflict is the sin of one who defies nature. Activate a spirit vein, and the qi of another place carried by that vein grows weak. Raise one barrier, and a barrier elsewhere comes undone. The feng shui master sees balance — and sees themselves breaking that balance. Master-grade feng shui masters carry the debt of every land they have touched. If that debt piles up, one day a mountain collapses. That is why some feng shui masters touch only one land in their entire lives. It is the greatest debt they can repay.

  • Recommended Weapons: suyari (also for Front Zone defense), rokushakubo (staff, suppression), tanto (concealed self-defense). Zone manipulation is the real work, not direct combat.
  • Recommended Schools: Abe-ryu (combined with sorcery), no school (self-taught — mountain feng shui master). There is no dedicated feng shui school.
  • Recommended Faction Traits: Kagura Domain (official feng shui master — castle design), Enryokan (spiritual balance cooperation), Biu Mountain (dangerous alliance with nature yoma)

#1st Dan: Twist Earth Veins (地脈歪み) [Kata]

Effect: limit the maximum Domination cap of 1 target zone to -3 (that round).
   Any excess immediately vanishes.

#Squad Tactics Traits (Feng Shui Master)

Slot Rule: Squad tactics traits are included in the class trait choices for that dan. When choosing 3rd/5th-dan class traits, you may choose a squad tactics trait instead of an ordinary class trait.

Feng shui master squad tactics are terrain manipulation. They reshape the spirit veins and terrain of the zone where the squad is deployed to create tactical advantages.
