#Scent — The Betrayed Priest
He was a devout priest. At a small shrine in Asakusa, he prayed to the god every dawn, healed the illnesses of villagers, and shared his own food when plague spread. Faith was sincere; devotion was absolute. And yet the plague did not stop. The prayers received no answer. The villagers died one by one, and at the end only an empty shrine and one priest remained.
"God, why are you silent?" The answer to that question never came. In silence, faith rotted. Prayer twisted into curse, blessing into poison, barrier into prison. The Buddhist protection he learned as a Pure Land Monk, and the Shinto Sacred Domain (神域) he inherited as an Arahitogami: all of it inverted. The power to absorb enemy barriers and make them his own, and to reverse another's blessing into a curse. Father Gaspar of the Heavenly Lord Mad Order witnessed this being and recorded: "This is proof that devils exist."
Tatarigami is a "god who punishes." The target punished is not a particular human, but god itself. He breaks barriers, contaminates Sacred Domains, and neutralizes everyone who depends on the power of faith. The dharma power accumulated by Hiei League monks, the Sacred Domain maintained by Arahitogami, the Cohesion of Ikko-ikki: he absorbs all of it, twists it, and sends it back. To him, faith is "the most elaborate lie," and his own existence is "punishment" for that lie.

#Extreme Strengths
- Converts enemy barriers/Sacred Domains into resources. The stronger the faith faction, the stronger Tatarigami becomes.
- Healing/blessing inversion: enemy support techniques instead damage enemies.
- Wide-area action disruption with fear waves. Especially effective against faith-line enemies.
- Sacred Domain Contamination transforms the battlefield terrain itself. Permanent strategic effect.
- Barrier detection (automatic at lull) grants battlefield information advantage.
#Extreme Weaknesses
- No faith of its own: cannot create independent barriers/Sacred Domains. Must absorb enemy ones.
- Weakens without barriers/Sacred Domains: if there is no absorption target, Wounds -1 each lull. Fatal against non-faith factions.
- 2 times damage from exorcism: when hit by orthodox exorcism techniques, Wound reduction is 2 times stronger (can gain immunity through 9th-dan trait).
- Three Ways fixed to extreme Void: Three Ways and Six Hearts cannot change. True alliance with any faction is impossible.
- Mental isolation: Negotiation checks against faith factions -4. Even against non-faith factions, "ill omen" gives -1.

#Three Ways and Six Hearts Conflict
Tatarigami's Three Ways and Six Hearts are extreme Void. The certainty that everything is a lie still contains conflict.
- "Was I a fool for believing in god?" The more he denies his past devotion, the more he denies his past self.
- "If god is false, is my anger also false?" The logical end of nihilism. Even the basis of anger comes into doubt.
- "Gaspar called me 'proof of the devil.' Then is the devil not also a creature of god?" A strange theological dispute with the Heavenly Lord Mad Order.
- NPC Opposition: Hiei League treats him as a "fallen monk" and top-priority extermination target. Arahitogami factions rage against him as "one who defiles Sacred Domains." Enryokan treats him as a research subject, "the shadow of faith."
- PC Corruption Route: If a Pure Land Monk or Arahitogami PC experiences fundamental doubt toward faith, the GM may offer "class change to Tatarigami." On class change, all existing barriers/Sacred Domains invert.
