#Seimei-School Additional Sorcery

Campaign Module — for ex2 spell campaigns only. This document is fc04-only additional spells layered on top of the co-04-07-04-onmyoji.md onmyoji class + the ex2 sorcery spell system. On conflict with the ex2 body, ex2 takes priority. At tables that do not use the ex2 spell structure, these spells are not permitted as independent slots.

Even-dan handling: The spells of 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th dan are not independent slots or independent acquisition stages. When you reach that dan, they are offered only as a replaceable option for 1 nearest odd-dan Seimei-school spell already acquired.


#Fiction Intro — The Folded Talisman of the Orthodox

The talismans of the Seimei school were not splendid. A single folded sheet of paper, a few lines of ink, and time that was not wrong. The young onmyoji was uneasy because it looked too ordinary.

"Can it block with only this much?" he asked.

The master pasted the talisman on the threshold. "The orthodox does not try to look big. It only tries not to go astray."

"The Doman school would use a stronger spell."

"A strong spell can break the gate. But what is needed today is to keep the gate from breaking." The master checked the star in the water bowl. "There are times when a procedure that endures long is harder than a sorcery that shines."

As the night deepened, the sound of nails scratching came from outside the gate. The young onmyoji held his breath. The sound circled three times before the threshold, then vanished.

The master did not peel off the talisman. "Did you see? The strength of the orthodox lies in leaving no trace of victory. To make nothing happen is the hardest sorcery of all."

#Handling When ex2 Is Not Used

At a table without ex2, the spells of this document are not used; instead, the dan-by-dan traits of the co-04-07-04-onmyoji.md onmyoji class are used as is. The "co Standalone Alternative" box at the end of each spell entry is a reference for interpreting the effect, not a rule that opens an fc04 spell slot.

This spell does only purification (condition removal). Wounds are recovered separately by Medicine, a Pure Land Monk, and so on.

co Standalone Alternative: the onmyoji "Purification" general trait. This spell reinforces the accuracy of the effect.


#6th Dan (Replacement Option — Not an Independent Slot)

Seimei himself does not use this spell but uses his signature. This spell is the form used by an ordinary onmyoji who received Seimei's teaching.

co Standalone Alternative: the multiple-shikigami trait of the co onmyoji class + squad synergy. This spell is a powerful secret art of a 9th-dan onmyoji.

#School Boons (Seimei-School PCs Only)

A PC who is a main-class onmyoji + Seimei-school Licensed receives all of the following adjustments (general adjustments separate from the "School Boon" of each spell):

#The Morality of the Orthodox PC

The Seimei-school PC is orthodox Onmyodo. Black-Heart and Demon-Heart PCs are refused. At a moral decision point, they must choose the White-Heart, Mercy-Heart, or Loyal-Heart side. For the detailed morality system, see co's Three Ways and Six Hearts.


#Consistency with Seimei's Signatures

fc04-03-01-seimei.md the signatures of Seimei himself:

  • "12 Shikigami Array" = the personal variant of this section's 9th-dan "12 Shikigami at Once" (Energy 6, not Energy 10)
  • "Mantra Strike" = the personal variant of this section's 6th- and 8th-dan "Mantra Strike (Lesser/Medium)"
  • "Sight of the Shikigami" = compatible with this section's 4th-dan "Shikigami Scouting"

Seimei is one who has mastered all dan. The spells of this section are for the ordinary onmyoji he taught. Seimei's own signatures have lower Energy cost and more precise effects than this section — that is the meaning of the "byword."

When using ex2: both are usable. The fc04 even-dan spells are not independent slots but options that replace 1 nearest odd-dan Seimei-school spell already acquired when that dan is reached. When not using ex2: only the body of the co onmyoji class is used. The spells of this document are not opened as independent spell slots.
