Battlefield Deployment — How to Field a Godframe illustration

This document is 09 (Note). The Godframe's stats, parts, heart, and Firepower are fixed in 02 Operation Engine, 03 Parts, and 04 Heart. Here we deal only with how to field it on the battlefield — battlefield standing, squad combat, giant-yoma parity, the Colossal Form 1-on-1 clash, siege warfare (fc12), the Throne of the Spirit Realm final battle, Godframe duels, campaign hooks, and the Anti-Godframe counters (3 human + 6 yoma factions). No new rules: all of it is application of the Godframe engine fixed in 02–04 (Energy · Firepower · Cooling Sequence · Ponderous · the Giant tag · half-Pierce · Colossal Form) and of existing co machinery (round · Wounds/Energy/Defense · Domination · squad combat · Core Zone · narrow paths).

#Rule — The Godframe Is a "Giant Individual Unit" [Variant · opt-in]

09-A1. Unit classification. The Godframe is an individual unit (co-06-00) — not a squad. It is not a target of squad commands or Cohesion, and participates in the round count independently via two pools of its own.

  • Energy pool (movement · Ponderous · Cooling Sequence · single breath) = 10 + Core grade = 11~13 (02 §4). The Divine Artifact grade does not enter Energy — a bigger one does not move faster or more often just because the Divine Artifact is stronger.
  • Firepower (火力) pool (striking force · Finishers) = Divine Artifact grade × 2 = 2~6 (02 §5). A separate reserve, poured into attack overcharge · squad extra strikes · Finishers · temporary bonuses.

Acting last in the same initiative (Ponderous) and the Cooling Sequence 1 at the end of every round (at the round's end, not its start — 02 §3) likewise attach to this single body. Energy is fixed low so it is Ponderous, while Firepower wells up from the Divine Artifact and can be poured out all at once — "the giant cannot move fast, but when it swings, it swings heavy."

09-A2. The "Giant" tag (★core). The Godframe is a giant body — the arts and volley fire of Mob/Minion-grade are automatically nullified (co-08-02, reusing verbatim Umibōzu's "Giant: arts of Minion-or-below automatically nullified" and Gashadokuro's identical wording). This one line does two things at once.

  • Not caught by squads. The chip damage of Mob/Minion squads is wholly blocked — this is the rules basis for "slay squads but not be slain by squads."
  • Borderline. Yet it takes normal hits from Veteran+ squads, Elite+ units, [Pierce], and heart sniping (battlefield standing: "not at a level infantry cannot touch at all"). The vulnerability of a giant single target is expressed by this tag plus dodge bonus 0 (cannot use stance or dodge arts); no separate dodge nerf is applied. (During Colossal Form (09-G), however, the automatic nullification extends up to Veteran (練) grade.)

#Note — Battlefield Standing: A Giant Standing "Above" Giant Yoma

Battlefield standing — Godframe crushing a giant yoma illustration

09-B1. Its place in the world (★raised). When a Godframe stands in the field, the Minions and Veterans of the Front Zone break apart at its feet. Even a giant yoma cannot crack its Firepower and Defense single-handed — and so people call the Godframe "the mountain that laid a god down." In terms of its in-world place, the Godframe stands one step above an ordinary giant yoma, yet not at the place of a god (02 §8 · 03 fixed values).

BuildWoundsDefenseEnergyFirepower (max)DominationIn-world alignment

High-grade · full build10~111812~136~7+7~+8Near the giant-yoma apex (Konryu Avatar 10/19)
  • On top of this come the Giant tag · half-Pierce · the Firepower reserve, so the Godframe clearly outclasses a single high-rank PC. That is why bringing down a single Godframe justifies a deployment on the scale of 1 Divine-Artifact warframe + 2 elite PCs.
  • Resource equivalence sets the grade automatically — run by a weak party it is a weak machine; with a strong party + a high-grade Divine Artifact it is a fearsome one. There is no need to fix it at a separate grade.

In-world alignment (data note). The Godframe's "strength" can be read in the same column as a giant yoma (co-08-02 giant-yoma stats) — Tsuchigumo (Wounds 6/Defense 13/Energy 12) · Ibaraki (7/14/13) · Great Oni (Lord 6/16/12) · Shuten-dōji (Lord 8/17/14) · Konryu Avatar (10/19/15). The Godframe's balanced build sits between Shuten-dōji and the Konryu Avatar, and the full build touches the Konryu Avatar — above an ordinary giant yoma. It is not inflated beyond this (there are no damage rolls; a hit = 1 Wound · a Critical Hit = 2 Wounds).

★Yoma need a special method to bring down a Godframe. An ordinary giant yoma is at parity or below in a frontal contest — for a giant yoma "to bring down" a Godframe it needs each faction's own Anti-Godframe method (Hannya's curse · Ibuki's binding · Owayama's seduction-theft · Shuten's Colossal Form · the Spirit Realm's erosion · Mugen-shu's judgment). This is a separate axis from the human counters (teppo · sealing · infiltration, 09-D); both are organized in the 09-D table.

#Rule — The Squad-Combat Interface: Sweeping Up More with Firepower [Variant · opt-in]

09-C. Squad slaughter (Rule + Table). How the Godframe sweeps up squads. The core game has no damage dice (co-03-05: a hit = 1 Wound · a Critical Hit = 2 Wounds). Therefore it removes many not by "hurting harder in one blow" but only through area/reach + hit-intensity processing + Firepower extra strikes.

Godframe actionProcessingCanon basis
Trample / sweeping strike (arm/leg area)Against enemy squads in the same zone, process as a volley from the attacker's side: on 2d10 ≥ squad Defense success, eliminate many Minions/Mobs by the hit-intensity table (sum 13 = 2 bodies · sum 17 or Critical Hit = 3 bodies · Heavenly Mandate wipeout)co-06-06 hit-intensity table borrowed for the attacker side
Firepower extra strike (on top of the above)For each 1 Firepower poured, that area attack strikes +1 additional squad body (02 §5 Firepower use ②). Firepower N = +N bodies on top of the hit-intensity table result. The way a Ponderous giant reaches deeper in one round02 Firepower ② · co-06-06
Intimidation (Domination)Frame Domination contribution +6~+8 (fixed in 02; balanced +6 ~ full build +8) → overwhelms a 5-man squad's +2. Difference 5 = total seizureco-05-02
Roar line (Self-Heart variant)Adjacent-zone squad Cohesion -1~-2 (borrowing the oni/nue roar)co-08-02

★Limits. The mass elimination of an area trample is the hit-intensity table as-is (sum 13 = 2 · sum 17 / Critical Hit = 3), and anything above that is added by Firepower alone (Firepower 1 = +1 body). Once all Firepower is poured, that pool is empty and its recovery is bound to the Cooling Sequence gate (02 §3.2), so it is not a constant inflation. Against Veteran+ squads the Giant tag is void, so it can only inflict Cohesion loss or 1 Wound, not a wipeout. Single/ordinary attacks are always fixed at 1 Wound (Critical Hit 2 Wounds).

#Rule — Anti-Godframe Methods [Variant · opt-in]

09-D. The method table (★the core table of this document). There are two axes to bringing down a Godframe — the three human tools (teppo · sealing · infiltration) and the six yoma factions' own methods. This is the rules proof of "not at a level infantry cannot touch," and the codification of "yoma need a special method to bring down a Godframe." The methods come from real canon units and arts; Godframe-specific handling is delegated to the terminology and to 02 · 04. The cited units are all faction-specific troop types, not classes (see Terminology).

#09-D1. The Three Human Counters

The 3 human counters — shinobi infiltrating the cockpit and attacking the Pilot illustration

CounterMechanismReal unit example (troop type ≠ class)Canon basis
① Teppo (half-Pierce)The teppo's [Pierce, full] ignores only half of the armor surplus against a Godframe (rounded up, 02 §7-2). Defense 18 (base 10 + armor 8) → 10 + 8/2 = shaved down to 14. The old "stripped to base Defense 10" is softened to half, so the teppo is still a nemesis but not absolute. The three-rank fire of the Kagura Teppo Corps (troop type, Minion, teppo 2+2 Energy) (on squad command, fire twice at Energy cost, reload waived)co-02-03 · co-03-05 Pierce (against the Godframe only the surplus ½ is nullified)
② Sealing (heart = Divine Artifact target · ★raised to primary)When a sealing art or barrier is placed on the heart (Divine Artifact), the Divine Artifact cannot act for 1 round → the entire Godframe halts. As far as Pierce is softened to half, sealing is raised to the primary counter that reliably stops the giant. The sealing art (3 Energy, yoma cannot act for 1 round) and barrier (2 Energy, 2 Wounds on entry) of the Hiei Sealer (troop type, Elite, Energy 10, Wisdom +3)co-02-03
③ Infiltration sniping (targeting the crew)Targets the Pilot or Controller directly. Pilot incapacitated → the Godframe cannot take a main action from that round (one step from a halt); Controller incapacitated → auxiliary output and cooling supply are lost. The infiltrator's first attack is an automatic Critical Hit, ignoring dodge and stance. The automatic Critical Hit on the first infiltration attack (2 Wounds) and shadow step of the Fuma Jonin (troop type, Elite, Energy 12, Finesse +3); "Fuma Kotaro" (Lord-grade) is a 3-Wound automatic Critical Hitco-02-03

#09-D2. The Six Yoma Factions' Own Methods

Where the human counters bite the armor · heart · crew, the yoma aim precisely at the Godframe's other rule elements — Ponderous, mobility, pride, even its Firepower standing. Details are in 07; here is the summary from the 09 battlefield-deployment angle.

Yoma factionAnti-methodTargeted rule elementCanon basis
ShutensanColossal Form (Enlargement) — Shuten-dōji swells in a kaiju transformation that offsets Ponderous, dragging the Godframe into an even 1-on-1 clashGiant tag · Ponderous (offset when even)07 · 09-G
OwayamaSeduction-theft — the illusory mist seduces an individual rider (human), stealing away one Pilot/Controller for 1 round → output collapse/halt. The frame is a machine and immune to seduction, but the person inside is humanTwo-crew coordination (the gap in machine immunity)07 seduction
Hannya AltarCurse erosion — squad slaughter fattens the vengeful spirits, and a fallen Godframe is turned back into a "moving vengeful-ghost altar" ghost-frame (the terminus of the Self-Heart Tatarigami)Lingering grudge · wreckage after Core halt07 grudge
Mugen-shuJudgment of pride — a great judgment upon an operator who falsely claimed divine descent. The giant frame is not an indulgence; it is opposed by the beauty (美) of the Pilot/Controller as an individual (incapacitation regardless of Wounds)The operator as an individual (giantness ≠ exemption)07 great judgment
Ibuki GardenBinding — webs strike at the weakness of Ponderous · mobility, binding it (immobilized). Ponderous (act last in the same initiative) + binding = the combination a Godframe hates most. It is sometimes captured and "collected"Ponderous · mobility (the deepest weakness)07 web binding
Throne of the Spirit RealmWorld erosion — seizing the Spirit Realm converts the battlefield into the Spirit Realm (Godframe Defense −2, outside machine immunity), and as erosion deepens it rots the Godframe into a Konryu-variant aberrationSpirit-vein erosion · Defense (the ethereal is not immune)07 · 09-H

09-D3. Shared auxiliary counters (common to both axes).

  • A giant single target = exposed to focus-fire and AoE dedication arts. Multi-effect dedication arts (2 targets at sum 13 · 3 targets at sum 17, etc.) plant straight into the single target that is the frame. Against an area dedication art such as Kūkai-no-Kongōshō's mandala deployment (yoma Defense -4), dodging is impossible. During Colossal Form it is a bigger target, so they land deeper.
  • Cooling Sequence pressure cascade. If [Pierce] or an infiltrator squad's sabotage depletes Energy directly, the frame cannot pay 1 cooling at the round's end and falls into an Overload + that round's spent Firepower un-recovered cascade (02 §3 · §6: 1 unpaid = winded / 2 consecutive = Exhaustion). The counters synergize with each other.
  • Heart sniping (Core-exposure condition). A direct strike to the Core part directly reduces the Energy pool, and Core Wounds 0 = immediate halt (no revival). The Godframe itself is symmetrically designed, like a giant yoma, with a Core = Core Zone structure (reusing the co-05-04 Core Zone rule).

★Heart-sniping trigger condition. A direct strike to the Core — that is, a direct hit on Energy / Core Wounds — opens only in the following three cases.

1. Pilot incapacitated — from that round the Godframe cannot take a main action (only Controller assistance possible, one step from a halt). A direct strike lands on the exposed Core.

2. Head or Torso part destroyed — the armor is stripped and the Core is exposed.

3. Infiltration first attack ([Direct] · automatic Critical Hit) — ignoring dodge and stance, it strikes the Core directly (the true forte of ③ infiltration sniping).

When Core Wounds reach 0, it halts immediately and cannot revive. ★One exception only — an Ikko-ikki frame, by its faith of no-retreat, reactivates once at Wounds 1 during the next Lull Phase even from Core Wounds 0 (limited to twice per combat). This is an explicit exception to the halt main-rule, registered in 03, 04, and 06.

★Half-Pierce shifts the counter balance. The old Godframe was a "teppo nemesis" stripped to base Defense (10) by a single teppo shot. As half-Pierce (02 §7-2) halves that vulnerability, the primary counter is raised to heart sniping · sealing — the teppo is still a threat but not absolute, and to reliably stop the giant you must seal the heart (Divine Artifact) or target the Pilot.

<a id="notation-guard"></a>

★Terminology. The human counter units are all faction-specific troop types (co-02-03: Kagura Teppo Corps · Hiei Sealer · Fuma Jonin) and not the 33 classes (co-04-07). Use full names, not abbreviations (regular military discipline · dharma-power blessing · infiltration). Only the Godframe's crew (Pilot · Controller) are classes. Moreover, every method mechanism is a citation of real canon — teppo [Pierce] · sealer's sealing art · Fuma's automatic infiltration Critical Hit · seduction · webs · great judgment · world erosion. Only the compiled "Anti-Godframe method table" is the new operational interface.

#Note — Per-Battlefield Operation Guide

09-E1. Recommended standard scale — 1 frame per squad + field battle. The GM standard is "one Godframe + an ordinary squad battle per battlefield" (tracking burden = 1 Lord-grade body + a Control Art menu + a Firepower pool's worth). Multiple Godframes are saved for campaign climaxes. The Godframe is the focal point of the battlefield — bound to 1 combat actor and 1 position, unable to go elsewhere. An enemy giant yoma is likewise bound to one position, so their engagement naturally condenses into a single point of the battlefield.

09-E2. Single-body parity with a giant yoma (operational definition). "Parity" means being able to engage a single Lord-grade body or a multi-Core-Zone giant yoma alone. It is matching Wounds/Defense/Energy pools to a giant yoma, not matching damage output (no damage dice). The adversaries are as follows (co-08-02).

Giant yomaWounds / Defense / EnergyOperational note
Tsuchigumo / Ibaraki6 / 13 / 12 · 7 / 14 / 13The reference point of standard parity. Ibaraki "Defense -3 vs Divine Artifact/purification" → favorable against a pure Divine Artifact heart (Hiei-style)
Great Oni6 / 16 / 12Drawn-out battle via the undying body (Wounds 0 → revive once)
Shuten-dōji (Lord-grade)8 / 17 / 14Drink bonus +2 · Swallow the Mountain 4 Wounds. Forces a Colossal Form 1-on-1 via Enlargement (kaiju transformation) (09-G)
Gashadokuro (Elite, regenerating)5 / 13 / 10Both are "Giant" — in a mirror-match style they share Minion/Mob nullification, and also share the exorcism/sealing weakness

09-F. Siege-warfare interface (fc12) — "King of the field, powerless inside the castle" (Note + Example). Zero new numbers — merely the fc12 narrow-path rule applied naturally to the Godframe (fc12-02-02).

  • Castle gate / narrow-path cap ≤3 = physically cannot enter. The Ōtemon (大手門) and castle gates are narrow paths (cap 3~4, blockade breach 2d10+Courage ≥ 15). Because the Godframe is a giant single body, it cannot enter a zone with cap ≤3. Interiors and Core Zone are likewise blocked by its giant size, and during Colossal Form it can enter even less.
  • Water / rough terrain / castle interior = +2 Energy fixed penalty on movement checks (or no entry at GM discretion). This is added on top of the co-05-03 breach targets (11/13/15).
  • Operational conclusion. The Godframe dominates the field battle before the gate but is powerless inside the walls. Even if it can hammer the fortress's defense grade (palisade 12 · stone castle 15 · great castle 18, co-03-10) with field-battle firepower, it cannot enter the honmaru (Core Zone type 3).
  • Scenario hook. An infiltration party (Fuma Jonin) bypasses the Godframe and enters the castle, breaking it from inside via cooling sabotage and treachery (combining counters ② and ③ with siege warfare).

#Note — The Colossal Form 1-on-1 Clash: Giant Mecha vs Enlarged Kaiju

Colossal Form 1-on-1 clash — giant mecha facing an enlarged kaiju illustration

09-G. The climax cliché (Note + Example). At one beat of the climax, the Godframe swells one step further with Colossal Form (mecha enhancement), and the giant yoma swells to meet it with Enlargement (kaiju transformation). The two are the same template (02 §7-2), and when both activate, Ponderous is offset and they engage normally on even terms — the screen-filling 1-on-1 of "giant mecha vs enlarged kaiju" stands here.

09-G1. Activation · enhancement · cost (summary; the definition is in 02 §7-2).

  • Activation: 1-round transformation (windup) + lock half Firepower, rounded up, + Energy 5. The transformation itself eats a round (a Ponderous staging). A giant yoma with no Firepower pool spends one use of its enlargement power instead of Firepower; a technique used as transformation power, such as Shuten-dōji's "Swallow the Mountain," does not also deal attack Wounds in that round.
  • Enhancement: Wounds +2 · Defense +1 · Domination +2 · reach/zone +1 · the Giant tag's automatic nullification extends up to Veteran (練) · Finisher Firepower cost −2 · Ponderous offset between Colossal Form and Enlargement (even engagement).
  • Cost: on release (duration ends · knocked down by a hit) → winded + Firepower 0. The transformation is a borrowed power; when it lapses, the giant kneels empty.

09-G2. Example — "The Colossal Clash" (Godframe vs Shuten-dōji Enlargement). A full-build Godframe (pure Divine-Artifact-grade heart · Firepower 6) vs Shuten-dōji (Lord-grade, Enlargement active).

  • Round 1 (windup). Shuten-dōji uses "Swallow the Mountain" as transformation power and enlarges — paying Energy 5, swelling while offsetting Ponderous, and not also dealing its 4-Wound attack in this round. The Godframe ignites its transformation in the same round: spending Energy 5 and binding Firepower 3 (half) into the transformation, it rises in Colossal Form next round. For both, acting last in the same initiative is offset, becoming an even count.
  • Round 2 (even engagement). Wounds 9 → 11, Defense 17 → 18, Domination +7 → +9. The Giant tag extends to Veteran, so the Veteran ko-oni squads under Shuten cannot even put in chip damage. The Godframe banks its remaining Firepower 3 into a Finisher (windup; cost −2 mid-transformation).
  • Round 3 (the killing blow). With the banked Firepower it calls the Finisher "Tenpō-Tekken (天崩鐵拳, Heaven-Crushing Iron Fist)" — a single large blow that falls at the end of a one-round windup, striking the multiple Core Zones of the enlarged Shuten-dōji at once (no damage roll · once per battle · greatly boosted hit-intensity, 05 Finisher). But when the transformation lapses, winded + Firepower 0 — the giant drops its blow and then cools, empty.
  • Lesson caption. "The instant the giant grows once more, even Ponderous vanishes between the two — what remains is the last blow of whichever side cooled longer."

★Colossal Form guard. Even during Colossal Form the 09-D counters (heart sniping · sealing · Pilot sniping) remain valid, and the single-target vulnerability deepens as it becomes a bigger target. The Finisher does not become constant — Firepower 4↑ · once per battle · a 1-round windup is the limit (05). Named Finishers (Tenpō-Tekken · faction-specific names) are called out like a giant-robot 必殺技, but the effect stays "big" within the "no damage dice" principle.

#Note — Godframe vs Godframe — "The Ponderous Mirror-Match"

09-G3. The Energy/Firepower-exhaustion race (Note). Because both act last in the same initiative (Ponderous), striking first is meaningless → technique (技) tiebreak + Cooling Sequence and Firepower management decides the bout. The core tension is the exhaustion race of two pools — whichever side fails to pay 1 Cooling Sequence at the round's end first (whose Energy runs dry first) collapses from Overload, and fails to recover that round's spent Firepower too, meeting the next round at Firepower 0. There are two deciding variables.

Godframe vs Godframe mirror-match illustration

  • The Controller's cooling acceleration (Control Art) — choose one of Ponderous nullification or cooling waiver, active once (05).
  • Scholar Energy resupply — converting the Scholar's Energy transfer (co-04-07-09) into Godframe Energy +N to keep 1 Cooling Sequence at the round's end available to the end (guarding the Firepower-recovery gate at the same time).

Simultaneous fielding is limited to 1~2 frames (the co-06 mass-battle "concentrate on a single point" principle; more spikes the tracking burden).

#Note — The Throne of the Spirit Realm Final Battle (campaign-defining scale)

09-H1. The "humanity's last weapon" rationale (★the spine of the design). According to the co-02-03 §Throne of the Spirit Realm canon, sealing the gate of the Spirit Realm requires the Kunitomo Guild's technology + the Enryokan's knowledge + the Hiei League's sealing, all of them. This three-faction collaboration is precisely the rationale of the Godframe — the scenario axis that makes even hostile factions join hands.

09-H2. Final-enemy stats (canon-sheet citation). The Avatar of Konryu (Lord-grade, Wounds 10 / Defense 19 / Energy 15, Hand of the Eternal Kalpa 2d10 + Wisdom (5) >= Defense, [Incorporeal], 2 Wounds) is the campaign's final enemy. The co-02-03 table gives Hand of the Eternal Kalpa no attack formula, so ZN13 fixes it at Wisdom +5 for the final battle only (a ZN13 ruling, not a canon number — the only Konryu stat block in canon is the Elite-grade base form at Wisdom +4). It does not end in a single battle — the avatar perishes only when the gate of the Spirit Realm is sealed (barrier ≥17 or exorcism ≥19), and if the gate is not sealed, its Wounds fully recover after 3 rounds. The avatar transforms the battlefield into the Spirit Realm via Spirit Realm seizure (human Defense -2 · yoma Wounds +2). The Godframe takes this Spirit Realm debuff (Defense -2) as-is — it is outside the scope of machine immunity (02 §9: [Incorporeal] and spirit-vein erosion apply normally). The Konryu Avatar can also activate Enlargement, so the climax can flare into a 1-on-1 of Godframe Colossal Form vs Konryu Enlargement (09-G).

09-H2a. Instant-death / judgment boss arts and the Godframe. A Godframe is treated as a Lord-grade-equivalent giant individual unit made from Divine Artifact 1 + Pilot 1 + Controller 1. Therefore an instant-death art such as Enma-dōji's "Reincarnation," which exempts Lord-grade targets, cannot instantly kill a Godframe. If it hits, do not invent new Wound damage; apply only the remaining parts of the original effect, such as judgment, heart disturbance, or pressure on the next Cooling Sequence. Truly defeating Enma-dōji still requires the original resealing ritual.

09-H3. Three-act structure (scenario skeleton).

  1. Preliminary quest — search for the location of the Spirit Realm gate + secure the gate through the three-faction collaboration (Kunitomo Guild · Enryokan · Hiei League) (the Godframe's ignition condition).
  2. Field battle before the gate — the Godframe faces the Konryu-fragment squads and the Avatar of Konryu at parity, buying time for the sealing party. Ponderous, the Cooling Sequence, and the Firepower-recovery gate apply equally — being campaign-scale does not exempt it from weight. Pour all Firepower into a Finisher and spend it in one beat, and you fail to pay that round's end Cooling Sequence, meeting the next round cooled.
  3. Sealing — the sealing party (Hiei League barrier + Enryokan knowledge) achieves barrier ≥17 / exorcism ≥19. The Godframe's Control Art "Barrier Field" (borrowed from sealers and onmyoji) can assist the sealing check.

09-H4. Corruption variant (Spirit Realm erosion). Spirit Realm erosion can turn the Godframe itself into a Konryu-variant aberration. A Self-Heart Tatarigami frame is linked to the slow motion of accumulating curse → Hannya Altar ghost-frame conversion (narrative consistency). The variant stats are set as the owning-type frame's stats + transfer of 1 Konryu faction trait to minimize new numbers — the concrete stat block is delegated to 07 Involvement of the Yoma Factions.

#Example — Three Short Combat Examples

Each example uses only the values fixed in 02–04 and introduces no new numbers. The standard frame = Wounds 9 / Defense 17 / Energy 11 (Core 1) / Firepower 4 (masterwork grade) / Domination +6 is assumed as the "standard frame." Energy is fixed low so it is Ponderous (the Cooling Sequence takes 1 Energy at the round's end), while Firepower wells up from the Divine Artifact and can be poured out all at once.

Example 1 — "Dominating the Field" (squad combat + Firepower extra strike). 1 standard frame + a Kagura elite spearman squad (5 Minions) vs 2 Hannya Altar floating onryo squads + an armored onryo (Elite).

  • Beat. The Godframe moves last in the same initiative (Ponderous). Yet a single downward trample sweeps up the Minion squad by the hit-intensity table (sum 13 → 2 bodies), and pouring Firepower 2 (②) strikes +2 more, erasing the whole squad in one round. At the round's "end" it pays 1 Energy as the Cooling Sequence, and the poured Firepower recovers next round thanks to that Cooling Sequence. Against the armored onryo ([Incorporeal]) the Giant tag is void — it becomes a normal engagement.
  • Lesson caption. "Late it is — but that one step, when you pour Firepower, erases a whole squad."

Example 2 — "The Teppo Bites Armor" (Anti-Godframe ①). Standard frame vs the three-rank fire of the Kagura Teppo Corps (Minions).

  • Beat. Defense 17 (heavy armor) is shaved only to half of the armor surplus, becoming 14 (softened by half from the old base Defense 10) against [Pierce, full]. Endurable, but two volleys of three-rank fire pressure Energy directly, producing a round where 1 cooling cannot be paid at the round's "end" → Overload (winded) + that round's Firepower un-recovered. It shows in numbers that "even with Pierce softened, pressuring Energy dries up Firepower too." To reliably stop the giant you need not the teppo but sealing · heart sniping.
  • Lesson caption. "Steel thins before the muzzle, but what stops the giant is not the gun — it is the seal."

Example 3 — "The Ponderous Mirror-Match" (Godframe vs Godframe). Standard frame (Scholar Controller) vs an enemy standard frame (no Controller / lower-rank).

  • Beat. Both act last in the same initiative → technique tiebreak. The Scholar Controller resupplies Energy each round, keeping 1 Cooling Sequence at the round's end available to the end (and Firepower recovers each round too). The enemy frame hits Energy 0 first → 2 unpaid coolings → Exhaustion (next round Energy 1 + defenseless + Firepower 0) → in that gap, a single overcharged-Firepower blow snipes the Core and halts it.
  • Lesson caption. "The winner is not the stronger side, but the side that cooled longer."

#Note — Campaign Hooks (list, abbreviated Scent)

09-I. Six campaign hooks (GM seeds). Translates the ownership and involvement of the 13 factions (06 · 07) into scenarios. The Scent is abbreviated (rich Scent is concentrated in the Legendary Godframes 08 and 99-fiction).

  • The rationale of collaboration — the gate of the Spirit Realm opens. Three hostile factions (Kunitomo Guild · Enryokan · Hiei League) must join hands for the sake of a single Godframe (links to 09-H).
  • The seizure battle — Owayama seduces and steals away the Pilot of a Godframe purchased by the Sakai Guild, overturning it (the frame is a mindless machine, but the rider is human, so seduction works). The PCs cut the heart supply line.
  • The ghost-frame — a fallen Godframe returns as a "moving vengeful-ghost altar" through the lingering grudge of the Hannya Altar (the terminus of the Self-Heart Tatarigami).
  • The punishment of pride — Mugen-shu sends trial and punishment upon an operator who falsely claimed divine descent (to the humble, the trial becomes a reward).
  • Capture and collection — the Ibuki Garden uses its webs to strike at the weakness of Ponderous/mobility, binding and capturing the Godframe (borrowing the co-08-02 web binding).
