#Western · Chinese · OSR Yoma Conversion (Yoma Conversion) — Section Index
Contents
#Identity
Data-convert Western monsters · Chinese yokai · OSR monsters into the Konsei Reiyotan yoma template (Mob/Minion/Veteran/Elite/Lord). Beyond simple cataloguing, it provides a conversion guide — teaching the GM the pattern that "any monster can be turned into the core format."
IP safety follows the 99-07 guide (public domain uses original names, media origins use altered names).

#Grade-Name Notation Policy
This expansion uses the suffix "級" forms "Mob-grade/Minion-grade/Veteran-grade/Elite-grade/Lord-grade" as the base notation. Core 08-02 uses suffixless forms ("Mob", "Minion", "Veteran", "Elite", "Lord") in table layouts, and core general body text mixes both notations — "級"-suffix and suffixless are equally consistent. Some files (55-11 · 12 OSR · Cthulhu) adopt the suffixless notation closer to the core 08-02 table layout. The GM of this expansion may use either notation.
#Core Consistency
This expansion 55 fully complies (100%) with the core 08-02 yoma compendium standard stat block + this expansion's 00-05 own mechanics 0.9.3 settled rules:
- enforce the core standard stat-block format (name · grade · Wounds · Defense · Energy · 6 attributes · 4 technique slots · special · Domination).
- limited to 6 attributes (Courage · Finesse · Physique · Wisdom · Presence · Fate). Invented attributes forbidden.
- check formula
2d10 + attribute + proficiency ≥ Defense. Abstract "attack +N" forbidden. - damage unit = Wounds (00-05 §3).
- recovery effect = "[upkeep] recover Wounds +N" (00-05 §3).
- Multiattack = cap of 2 per round (00-05 §7).
- attack +5 or more · instant death = 2+ limiting conditions (00-05 §10 · 15).
- morale → Cohesion (00-05 §12).
- madness · trauma = 30-10 dependency stated.
- non-corporeal ·
[Incorporeal]attack unified rule mandatory (08-02 §non-corporeal unified rule). - avoid core same-name yoma collisions (integration of nine-tailed fox · nue · gaki).
- remove D&D-style Critical Hit notation ("1d10 = 9-10"). Use core Critical Hit (2d10 double) or 00-05 §15 Critical Expansion.
#Friendly NPCs
5 entities (unicorn · pegasus · seraph · Guanyin · golden dragon, etc.): usually friendly, can be made hostile.
#Differentiation from the 1st Expansion
Core Japanese yoma + 1st-expansion 25 hell yoma + this expansion's 58 conversions = can be used in integration. See the 99-04 integration index.
#IP Safety
All media-origin conversions use altered names. Follows the 99-07 IP guide.
